- 1881- Buckhorn Saloon is opened
- 1884- The original Lone Star Brewery was founded
- 1904- The brewery is built on Jones Ave. in San Antonio
- 1918- Prohibition shuts down production and closes the Buckhorn Saloon
- 1933- Prohibition ends- Texans are very happy!
The new Lone Star brewery is built on Mission Rd. - 1940- A new formula is developed: Lone Star beer, the National Beer of Texas, is born
- 1956- Lone Star Brewing Company purchases the famous Buckhorn Collection and opens the Lone Star (Buckhorn Hall of Horns)
- 1959- The Lone Star Brewery is known as the World’s Most Beautiful Brewery
- 1964- The Hall of Fins opens
- 1968- Following the World’s Fair, the Hall of Texas History Wax Museum is relocated to the Hall of Horns
- 1973- The Hall of Feathers opens
Lone Star now has approximately 400,000 visitors each year - 1996- The brewery is bought and shut down by Stroh’s beer, relocating production to Longview, TX
The Buckhorn Collection is moved to the new Buckhorn Saloon & Museum on Houston St. - 2005- Lone Star celebrate 65 years as the National Beer of Texas
- 2008- Plans and construction begin for the revitalization of the Lone Star Brewery to become an elite living resort
